Terms, privacy and safety

These terms apply to all guided runs booked through Running Guides Oslo. You send a booking request through the website, we confirm the run by email, and your place is secured once payment has been completed through the payment link we send you.

Prices are shown per runner and include the guide, route planning and local knowledge along the way. Public transport tickets, entrance fees, food and drink are not included unless the tour page says otherwise.

The guide may adjust, shorten or reroute a run for safety reasons, for example in extreme weather, ice, or if trail conditions change. A reasonable change of route does not count as a cancellation.

You must be at least 18 years old to book. Runners under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a booking adult.

More than 48 hours before the start time: you get a full refund, minus a non-refundable administration and payment processing fee of 50 NOK per runner. This fee covers the card processing cost that our payment provider keeps even when a payment is refunded.

Between 48 and 24 hours before the start time: you get a 50 % refund, or the full amount as a credit towards another date within 12 months — your choice.

Less than 24 hours before the start time, or no-show: the booking is non-refundable. You are always welcome to send someone else in your place at no extra cost — just tell us their name beforehand.

If we cancel: if the guide has to cancel, or if severe weather warnings, ice or other conditions make the run unsafe, you get a 100 % refund with no fees deducted, or a new date if you prefer.

Runs go ahead in normal Norwegian weather, including rain, wind and snow. Dress for the conditions.

To cancel or change a booking, simply reply to your confirmation email or write to contact@oslo.run. The time we receive your message is the time that counts. Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, normally within 5–10 working days.

Right of withdrawal: guided runs are leisure services supplied on a specific date, which under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven § 22 m) are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal. The cancellation terms above apply instead, and they are more generous than the law requires.

Running Guides Oslo is the data controller for the information you give us. We collect only what is needed to deliver your booking: your name, email address, phone number, the run and date you chose, and any health information you choose to share with the guide.

Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

We keep booking records for as long as required by Norwegian bookkeeping rules, and contact messages for up to 12 months. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the booking and payment (our website host, database, email service and Stripe).

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing contact@oslo.run. You also have the right to complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Running with us is at your own risk. By booking, you confirm that you are in good enough health to take part in the run you have chosen, at the distance and pace described on the tour page.

Please tell the guide before the run about injuries, allergies or medical conditions that may affect you, and bring any medication you may need.

The guide carries a phone and a basic first-aid kit and is responsible for the group's route and pace. Participants are strongly recommended to have their own travel and accident insurance.

The guide may ask a runner to stop or turn back if continuing would be unsafe for that runner or for the group. This does not give a right to a refund.
